NPO Organica
NPO Organica
Our NPO began with our local and global connection from Oita through nature-based learning events & activities in collaboration with communities, businesses, and government as we share traditional sustainable best practices, inclusive learning and teaching to cultivate self-compassion and our “Ikigai” (true purpose) with the aim of improving society towards a sustainable, diverse, and inclusive society (based on the UN summit declaration, SDGs).

Purpose of OrganiCa
-
Empowering minorities and their families. This includes women, international residences, Children, LGBTQ+, People with Special Needs, Hikikomori, NEET(Not in Education, Employment or Training), indigenous societies, and so on.
-
we want to support & share best practices from cultures and traditions that encourage behaviour and attitudes of compassion, respect, inclusivity and sustainability for the planet and glocalized communities.
-
By communicating with various individuals from around the world & connecting our communities towards holistic systems within their reach. For example; introducing organic & natural producers with consumers at reasonable and affordable prices or, make a platform for participants to be exposed to sustainable practices and discussions.
-
Inclusive learning and Inclusive teaching for cultivating people with self-compassion and helping people to find and get to their Ikigai
-
To create a sustainable, diverse, and inclusive society (based on UN summit declaration, SDGs)
Activities we want to promote
-
Empowering and supporting minorities and their families through conducting events and activities with local communities, grassroot activists, young students, local businesses, and the government to explore and protect nature. An example would be our collaboration with the volunteers from the local community in Kamegawa, Beppu since 2012.
-
Promotion of Mottainai culture through practicing “Responsible production and Responsible consumption” by publicizing and marketing of traditional sustainable practices with the focus on sharing knowledge and exchanging skills. An example, our collaboration with the Team (The eco-alliance museum) for Upcycling projects since 2019.
-
Facilitation of ’Chisan Chisho’ 地産地消 concept (Locally produced, Locally consumed). As an example, our collaboration and support for Oita Organic Agriculture Market through promotion, collaboration and offering internship programs for students, sharing knowledge and exchanging skills between farmers and consumers, so on.
-
Inclusive learning and inclusive teaching through engaging different generations, different nationalities, and conducting nature-based learning events & activities through collaboration with the communities, businesses, and government by utilizing project-based learning, active learning, and applied-learning methods for creating a mentally and physically healthy-society
-
Localizing and practicing the SDGs in Oita prefecture in the Japanese and global contexts to create a more sustainable, diverse, and inclusive society
How we can support one another.
What we can offer is our platform, and the love & dedication our team and collaborators have to making the world a safer, healthier, inclusive place for all. Let us know if you need a hand or would like to join our projects!
